ZeeWeed 1500 UF Membrane

ZeeWeed 700B UF Membrane

ZeeWeed 700B is an inside-out SevenBore membrane, ideal for low solids and seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) pre-treatment applications.

Rackless Module System (RMS)

Como funciona

Water often contains particles, bacteria, and viruses that make it unsafe for drinking and unsuitable for industrial use. ZeeWeed pressurized ultrafiltration membranes remove these contaminants while maintaining essential water minerals.

In outside-in filtration, pressurized water enters the bottom of the module and passes through the membrane fibers from the outside. In inside-out filtration, water flows through the center of the fibers and is filtered through the membrane walls. Both designs act like very fine filters, allowing only clean water to pass while blocking unwanted particles and microorganisms.

The most advanced water treatment flow sheets require high quality water, free from suspended solids and micro-organisms. ZeeWeed pressurized ultrafiltration membranes provide the ideal water quality that increases effectiveness other technologies like Ozone, activated carbon, RO and NF membrane filtration.

Knox Chapman First to Install the ZeeWeed 1500 RMS Product Line

Knox Chapman Utility District (KCUD) near Knoxville, TN serves 60 square miles providing water services. They use Veolia's ZeeWeed 1500 UF membranes to treat water from the French Broad River. In 2016, KCUD expanded capacity by implementing Veolia's new ZW1500 RMS system, which offers a smaller footprint and simpler design while maintaining high water quality.

Plant Upgrades for Pathogen Protection, Turbidity Reduction

The Regional Municipality of Macdonald upgraded its Sanford Water Treatment Facility using Veolia's integrated membrane solutions. They implemented ZeeWeed 1500 Ultrafiltration membrane and MUNI Low Energy Reverse Osmosis systems to improve water quality, increase capacity, and enhance pathogen protection. The pre-engineered, skid-mounted systems allowed for quick installation while keeping the existing facility operational during construction.

Reclaimed Water Reused in Manufacturing Processes

Taiwan's Water Resources Agency tested wastewater recycling at Nantze Export Processing Zone using Veolia's ZeeWeed ultrafiltration technologies (ZW500 and ZW1500). The project aimed to produce 10,000 cubic meters of water daily for manufacturing. The plant successfully achieved high water quality standards with lower operational costs, demonstrating a model for industrial water recycling worldwide.

Veolia UF and RO Membranes Support World’s Largest Membrane- Based Water Reuse Project in Kuwait

Kuwait addressed water scarcity by developing the Sulaibiya Wastewater Treatment and Reclamation Plant in 2005, the world's largest membrane-based water reclamation facility. Initially processing 100 MGD, the plant was expanded in 2009 and is undergoing further expansion to reach 160 MGD capacity. Using Veolia's ZeeWeed membranes, the facility converts municipal wastewater into high-quality water for agricultural use, supporting Kuwait's water security goals.

Affinity Water Upgrades to Veolia ZW700B Membranes to Reduce Fiber Breakage Costs

Affinity Water, the UK's largest drinking water supplier, replaced existing ultrafiltration membranes at their Clay Lane and North Mymms treatment plants with Veolia's ZW700B UF membranes in 2016. The ZW700B membrane was chosen for its cost-effectiveness, durability through SevenBore fiber design, and simple installation process, allowing for quick replacement within 2-3 days per unit.

Produced Water Solids Removal using Ultrafiltration (UF) Membranes

Veolia implemented an innovative produced water treatment system using ZeeWeed 700B ultrafiltration membranes for enhanced oil recovery operations. The system, operational since 2022, successfully achieves stringent discharge requirements, including oil content below 10ppm, 98-99% TSS removal, and turbidity under 1 NTU. The membrane solution proved more cost-effective than traditional cartridge filters while offering superior oil resistance.
